Carroll EMC Celebrates National Lineman Appreciation Day
CARROLLTON GA- Carroll Electric Membership Cooperative is recognizing April 18 as National Lineman Appreciation Day to honor the hardworking employees who work often in challenging conditions to keep the power on.
"Electric lineman often do not receive the recognition they deserve," said Jerome Johnston, interim President/ CEO of Carroll EMC. "They work all hours of the day, often in hazardous conditions far from their families, going above and beyond to restore power to their communities. Our lineman, as well as lineman from all across the nation, truly deserve this special day of recognition."
Carroll EMC invites its Membership and other stakeholders in the communities it serves to take a moment to thank a lineman for the work they do. Social media users can use the hashtag "#ThankaLineman" to show support for these men and women.
Carroll EMC is a Member-owned cooperative providing electricity to approximately 50,000 homes and businesses. The co-op serves Members in Carroll, Haralson, Heard, Paulding and Polk counties.
